I'm Carolyn, and here's my story...
Taking a break from booze turned out to be harder than I expected...
Drinking was how I connected. Pouring a glass of wine was a reward. A companion. A stress reliever.
Wine was also undoing everything I was working to accomplish in my life.
~my health (Morning workout? punishment for last night's wine. Evening workouts? Only if we do wine & yoga)
~my business (Too foggy to truly be creative and too lethargic to do more than what was needed just to show some consistent growth)
~my family & friends (Spend quality time together? Sure...if we can be on a porch with wine, during which I'll spend the time focusing on how many glasses I'll "allow" myself to have instead of on making real connections with you).
I tried "dry" months and paid-for challenges that left me feeling like a total failure, and then I found a combination that changed everything. Now I want to teach it to you.

Sometimes when we are changing difficult habits, reflective journal prompts aren't enough.
You need 1:1 support to get through mental blocks or difficult challenges.
The truth is, as a result of the way your brain + body process alcohol, and your current relationship with it, your brain is stuck in a loop that's hard to get out of by sheer willpower alone.
Coaching with me uses a brain-body-relational technique known as brainspotting. I've used it with countless individuals in my work as a mental health therapist. Yes, it's effective in treating things like trauma and anxiety, but it's not limited to those areas!
For the first time, I'm bringing brainspotting to the gray area drinking space to help people like you, who don't need therapy to change your relationship with alcohol. You just need to be taught the right tools.
During our work together, we'll go through various brainspotting exercises and incorporating educational pieces to help you better understand the brain's craving, reward, and consequence cycles.
All the while I'll be teaching you how to use the technique on your own so you can continue moving forward with any blocks or barriers, even after our work together is complete.
